We regret to inform you that our friend Max died in a tragic accident earlier this week. Many of you know Max from our “Pit to the Max” article we posted last year.

Max was truly a best of breed dog! I saw Max last about 4 weeks ago and he was happy as ever, still sniffing like a bloodhound, and just as friendly as can be. He will be missed greatly by us and his owners Billy and Jen of Knox, Ind.

If there is a great place for our doggie children to go Max is most certainly there. And you can be sure that he is running with the bloodhounds!

Our hearts go out to Billy and his family for their loss.

Rest in peace friend and know that you are truly missed by those of us who knew and love you. You will never be forgotten!

While I could never eat dog meat, it is very well accepted in Vietnam.   Here is an article discussing the culture, the acceptance and the fact that while it is allowed, no one forces it on anyone else.   

We humans have a problem with “humanizing” many things, including our dogs….

Scars and all, a happy ending for one of Michael Vick’s dogs…

This dog is just slightly bigger than a coke can and weighs only 2lbs.   He is now in the Guiness Book of World Records.   Man; my pups are 2lbs by the time they are a few weeks old.  Very very cute, but I agree with his owner, he’s prob very fragile.  

4.6 injuries per 100,000 people..  if they lead the country, then we aren’t doing too bad… then again, all those little dogs that bite and never get reported… what about those bites?
